I’m not a “movie guy” as other parts of this web site would indicate I’ve seen a lot of movies in my life and I have my preferences.

I sat down to watch “Anger Management” on September 11 —perhaps I needed some levity on that day? I don’t want to be too judgmental but this movie is putrid. I could only watch the first 15 minutes of this movie before I ejected it from my PowerBook. There is nothing about this movie that makes it worth watching…nothing!

I’ve seen a few of Adam Sandler’s parts and found his humor to be pretty juvenile. He upholds that tradition in this movie. And Nicholson! Jack Nicholson set a personal low in this movie. Am I being unfair because I didn’t watch more than the first 15 minutes? Perhaps I am but I don’t have a high tolerance for nausea, either.

The day was not lost, however. The breath of fresh air was “About Schmidt” and it more than made up for “Anger Management”. “About Schmidt” is an excellent movie. It was so good that I even took notes! The plot was good, the lines were good, the directing was good. And they all combined to make an excellent movie, one that I would definitely see again.
