SIGN  


 

 

 Command SIGSIGN (arithmetic_expression)

The SIGN function returns the sign of the arithmetic_expression (e.g., 1 for a positive number, -1 for a negative number or 0).

Example  

This example will returns all the negative amounts found in the INVOICES table:

SELECT AMOUNT
FROM INVOICES
WHERE SIGN(AMOUNT) = -1;
